The Riverina Utilisation and Pricing Survey - Grape Purchases Summaries are available for the 2004 through to the 2011 Vintage.
Prior to 2009 these survey's were conducted by the Australian Wine and Brandy Corporation (now known as Wine Australia) through the National Utilisation Project (NUP) funding. This national project has ceased and is likely to be replaced by the AWBC Price Dispersion Reporting which contains more detailed analysis of the prices paid in terms of pricing brackets. A full national report can be found at the Wine Australia's website www.wineaustralia.com
The reports for 2009 and 2010 were collated locally by Stuart McGrath-Kerr (WIne Industry Consultant) for and on behalf of the Riverina Winemakers Association.
The 2011 & 2012 reports were conducted by Wine Australia by surveying the top wineries in terms of the volume of winegrapes they purchase annually.
To understand the 2012 in more detail a production report for the year is also included, showing the expected pre-vintage intake and the total for the region. Please note that references to leviable in this document do not relate to the Wine Grapes Marketing Board Statutory Levy.
